Message: We had a set back today, Lonnie was not able to tolirate extubation (removal of the breathing tube). It also appears that he is starting to develope pneumonia in his lower lung, which caused his oxygen saturations to be lowered. After several attemps the MDs,respiratory therapist, Lonnie, and myself decided it was best to keep him intubated for one more night, which will allow him to rest his lungs. Tomorrow, early in the day the process will begin hopefully with a successful outcome. Please keep in your thought and prayers. I will update you all tomorrow. Replies to this post No replies yet |
