Heather E. Ross"Purty1"
I was introduced to the bike set in the winter of 2008 by a dear friend who is a member of another San Diego M.C. It quickly became evident that many of the clubs on the set "preached" but didn't even begin to practice. I believe in having a purpose and believe in being a part of something "real." I have always been fascinated by history and love to learn. I have known of the Buffalo Soldiers however, not to the extent of what I know now. I had not been privileged in knowing that there are groups of people dedicated to the history, legacy and camaraderie( all done in honor) such as that of the "soldiers." It was not until June of 2009 that Big Ben showed me what I wanted to see in people... not only did he show me what I wanted to see, it just so happened to be real. He walked the walk. He has shown me goodness, honor and a great sense of community and giving back. I have seen the pride that this organization has and I am humbly honored to be a small part in this vast greatness.
I was born in NYC although raised here in San Diego and lived in Miami, Fla with my father for the better part of my teenage years. I am the second oldest of six children. I was the only girl for 11 years! My sister is the baby. My family is very diverse culturally and ethnically and I love it! I am a nurse and have been at my profession for 19 1/2 years. I love what I do. I love making people smile and strive to touch as many hearts in a day as I possibly can...men, women and children alike.
I am the mother of two boys with my oldest being 20 and my youngest 10. I have dedicated my life to being their biggest fan and advocate in life. I have shown them my strength, courage and love and will continue to lead by example.
I love the beach, pool, sunshine, summertime, music, nature, photography, art, movies, community events and the Fourth of July!
