My motorcycle
riding experience began while stationed on active duty at Vandenberg
AFB during the period of 1974-1982. I retired from the USAF in
1987 after 20 years service. For the past 14 years I have lived
in Toronto, Canada where I retired for the second time as a telecom
executive in October 2008. My return to Southern California was
prompted by the desire to be closer to family and I must admit
nicer weather. My son is a Doctor and my daughter-in-law is a
Dentist both on active duty in the Navy and there is my 20 month
old grandson who has me wrapped around his finger. I started riding
again at the encouragement of my son who rides a Harley. I became
aware of the BSMC when I saw Pharaoh in his colors at the SD downtown
Jazz festival. I researched the club online and gained an understanding
of the history the Buffalo Soldiers and the club’s mission.
Having met several of the members, I’m certain the BSMC
San Diego will provide me with the fellowship, social activism
and community service I want to be part of and actively support
